Position Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Pool Technician to join our team. This role involves the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial swimming pools and their associated equipment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently while upholding high standards of service and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on commercial pools, including checking and balancing water chemistry using the LSI index.
- Use a LaMotte Spin Touch to conduct water testing (one test disc required per test).
- Inspect and maintain pool filtration systems, pumps, heaters, UV sterilizers, and other pool equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform necessary repairs, including pump seal replacements, sand filter media changes, and valve inspections.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct preventative maintenance, including monthly, quarterly, and annual servicing as outlined in client agreements.
- Ensure job site cleanliness upon completion of work.
- Maintain daily service logs using ServiceM8 software.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing PPE (gloves, goggles, and respirators) when handling chemicals.
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with North Carolina public pool regulations.
- Respond to service calls based on priority tiers, including same-day emergency service for premium clients.
Required Qualifications
- Prior pool service experience preferred – we provide training.
- Familiarity with commercial pool equipment and water chemistry.
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proficiency with mobile apps/software for logging service records.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
